Watching 28 Weeks Later I realised that Angel by Massive Attack (and the main synth line in particular) seems to be used as lazy filmmaker slang for 'everything has gone to shit'.

Anyone have any better suggestions for 'songs to use to highlight that everything has gone to shit in a film'?
