I realised today just how few UK artists' records I had purchased in the past year or so. Despite much hype about the healthy condition here, I see (in recent years) mostly imitators. Decent bands, yes, but often I find 'one-week records' that don't stand up to repeated listens. The majority of innovative and creatively bold artists arriving from overseas.. don't know if this is just me, wanted to see what thoughts people had regards UK artists/industry at present ?
