I need some help with my record player

Marlvrum [Edit] [Delete] 18:13, 13 May '07

Right.

Ok.

I dug out a REALLY old record player my gran had. It's one of those long ones with the vinyl/tape deck/radio thing. I got it working, and the speakers plugged in, and thought, oh great! Its working! I put on a record, which played fine. After about 3 minutes the needle went kinda crazy, so i stopped the record and tried again. Same thing happened. Then, the wee silver/black ended wire...thing fell out of the head.

So yeah.

Can i fix this?

Do i have to buy something new?

I've got a shitty new age philips one, but this old school one sounded MEGA, and i'd love to be able to use it again.

I love my records, but i know nothing about the players.

CHEERS DIS.
