I used to think American Idol was evil and in some way British revenge for the McDonalds and Starbucks.

But it's actually a hilarious karioke competition, eh? I think the american public might have a better sense of humor than I do for not picking up on sooner. Well, it's not that hilarious because I'll never watch it again, but from the proper perspective I could see why it'd be fun to laugh at the contestants.

Here's the point of this thread. Are there vocalists who we really do give a shit about that would rate well on American Idol?

Or is a 'classic' Michael Bolton voice doomed to be AM radio crappolla?
