Favourite worst nightmare Vs. A weekend in the city.

Deltasound [Edit] [Delete] 20:56, 7 May '07

Following on from Alc**ks comments in the Arctic Monkeys on later thread, I was thinking today about parallels between these albums. Both much anticipated sophomore efforts, and I've been starting to read 'this generations blur and oasis' soundbytes being bandied about them (for the record, my personal opinion of that comparison is that its complete bollocks, both bands seem to have progression pretty close to the top of their musical agenda, allowing any Oasis comparisons to be discarded offhand).

What does everyone think the better album is? It seems to me that calling Favourite worst nightmare the better of the two is the less popular opinion, but in my opinion its the truth. Whereas weekend in the city gets bogged down by songs like SRXT, sunday and I still remember, Favourite worst nightmare hangs together well, doesn't drag and has an absolute killer end song in 505...
