Bands who bitch-slap other bands

oceanRain [Edit] [Delete] 07:36, 3 May '07

An American online music zine (pitchforkshall remain nameless) posted dates for Patrick Wolf last week. But Wolf's website made no mention of the show, nor did the venue. The venue in fact had another band scheduled that night, just two weeks from now.

As a billionaire American I could afford to send the Troubadour money on the cuff...well, I faxed them a credit card number...anyway, lucky me he is playing (JulieTroubadour called to say, they took my money and I'm on the list!), but I'm wondering how often this happens? I don't ever remember seeing bands getting "bumped" off a nightclub's schedule for another band. (And by the former "bands", I mean, any bands not the Babyshambles.) But I'm not in the business and don't pay that close of attention to this sort of thing.

Do nightclubs/promoters frequently juggle lineups?

Should I receive a discount for being held in suspense for four days?

And finally, can I look forward to Patrick bitch-slapping the new drummer?
