random, arty, electro student bands?

I'm talking about people such as Hadouken, Does It Offend You, and Bono Must Die.

Its just, they must realise that they're purely flavour of the month material, and although they probably have large followings of rich Southern teenagers, in the long term, they're going to fail.

Even if their second albums were any good, no-one would give a toss because something else will be in fashion by then.

I'd much rather be in one of these uninspired, like-watching-sheep bands, like The Enemy or something. Apart from the fact their music would be bearable as background noise (whereas this new rave is just irritating), they'll probably be touring for at least three or four years.

In nine months, these totally crazee art students will be back at square one, looking for a shit job.

I just browsed these kinds of bands' myspaces, and they all have really similar features:

- ironically inaccurate description, like 'Death Metal' or 'Acoustic'
- crazy random pictures something 'retro'
- mentioning an 'old skool' games console/game

And then I realised, these lot are just as boring as The Arctic Kook Views etc. The only difference is, their fans will be total cunts, whereas Kooks fans will be fine.
