How come they only seem to know one scale, when coming up with riffs?

All of their new songs have that exact same 'mischievous' ring to them, and as expected, are very very similar to the weak tracks that weren't on the demo.

When I first heard '...Dancefloor' and 'Fake Tales', the impact they had on me was huge. They seemed to lose it a bit for the rest of the LP, and hearing the first few off the new one, it sounds like they've lost it all together.

I wouldn't call them crap, but at the same time, they aren't that good to be honest. Turner's articulate in his lyrics, but they're just singing about things that people do, in a strong accent.... again.
