I'm told there're hundreds, maybe thousands of disappointed Englishmen when I'm unable to provide a late night thread for you chaps to wake up to. "Pass the tea and crumpets and - oh, by the way what'd the American bastard do overnight on DiS?" Like a modern day Tokyo Rose. And I didn't even count DiSers on the continent.

It's sort of a heavy responsibility and I can't always be clever and witty and insightful. Tonight is such a night. This is not an A-game thread. But for anxious DiSers around the globe I'll carry on with a brave smile.
