Bio
Steve Hanby and Thomas Bone: Guitars
Ryan Howarth: Drums
Started in July 2002 after Richie and Steve's former band Evil Pantano split before their time. Tom was already onboard and after a drummerless couple of months they met up with Ryan who was rocking to the same stuff (the Stooges, Sonic Youth, The Icarus Line, Les Savy Fav, At The Drive-In and a whole lot more). Rejecting irony in favour of belief they rattle through sets filled with songs of love, fear and death, feedback and destruction. The name comes from a late night tv programme about Japanese women wrestlers. So far there have been around 50 flyer/name related cock ups and they will never end. Wear an eyepatch to one of their shows and the band will salute your bravery. Dance and they will love you forever, not enough people dance at their shows.
discography "Jesus Loves The Demons" (Beware The Priest cd) The first record. 9 originals and one shitty Hot Snakes cover.
"Demons/Escanna Split" (Jazzbeard Records cd) 5 Tracks recorded by Phill Rogers of Place Position/Reynolds fame.
"SCHC - There's Something In The Water" (Red Crayon Records cd) Compilation of South Coast bands. The track is an early version of 'Red Paint March'.
coming soon "Disoma/JetsVsSharks/Humans The Size Of Microphones/Pilger/Demons Split" (Milliepeed Records cd) A gratuitous 5 way split with some other cool South Coast bands. Demons contribute "The Soothsayer" 16 minute epic.
"Becomes The Water Of Death/Disoma/Demons Split" (Beware The Priest cd) 4 more new tracks from the Demons including "The Tripping Switches" and "Mr Sleepy Eyes Open Man"!
"107 Debutantes/Demons/The Debs-Demons Big Band Split" (Beware The Priest 12") This will (hopefully) only be available on 12" vinyl. The Demons recent improv collaboration with 107 Debutantes will fill a whole goddamn side.
