The band rehearsed for over a year, notating formulae and strategies all the while. Once things were tighter than a Tory confronted by the homeless, the band booked some gigs, played some gigs, supported some bigger bands (The Crocketts, King Adora) whilst simultaneously inhabiting a world where short, sharp sets equalled short, sharp shocks.
Their sound is informed by a lyrical love of the visceral, with plenty of medical reference to the body, and, more importantly, the head. Theirs is a noise of preconceptions shattering into a thousand melodies. If you can imagine the sound of every doctor, consultant and nurse, who has ever worked at The Priory, falling into a crevasse and headed toward the centre of the earth, then you're still nowhere near.
