Bio
Void took the oldschool DC hardcore blueprint and fucked it up metallically, to some eyes laying the blueprint for metalcore to come. In their own time, they managed to overhaul "punk" orthodoxy with playing some distance beyond unhinged. Listening back to their recordings (mainly available through Dischord’s Faith/Void/Faith CD), it's hard to argue that the players are, at least time-wise, "together", but the cumulative effect of each instrument's psychotic aggression is undoubtedly startling. To some they're as good as people believe Led Zeppelin are, to others, a genuinely terrible, phlegmatic noise. Punk fucking rock then.
Perhaps denting said punk rock credentials, Void's shredelicious guitarist, Bubba DuPree, later toured with techno God-botherer Moby's live band.
