Bio
The Evenings formed in 2002 and for the next eighteen months never played with the same lineup twice, borrowing musicians, dancers, VJs and artists from their home town of Oxford for increasingly flamboyant stage shows, earning them a strong local following and excellent live reputation. The lineup settled into its current form early in 2004, since when they have supported the likes of Trans Am, The Faint and 65Days of Static, as well as serving breakfast to a packed crowd at 2004's Truck Festival. They call their music 'eclectronimentica', and have been compared to acts like David Bowie, Daft Punk, The Polyphonic Spree, Aphex Twin, Neu and Ian Dury & The Blockheads. They released the EP "Louder IN The Dark" on Brainlove Records, and toured with the label in late 2005.
