Bio
Once, in a hole in the ground lived forty-four musicians. After business boom and the golden age of agriculture, lucrative business opportunities tempted thirty-six erstwhile band mates into the perilous world of Capitalism.
Heartbroken and weathered, the remaining hole-dwellers embarked upon a legendary quest. Returning home with renewed manhood and valour and a bounty of instruments they set about restoring a fallen world to the peace and glory that once was their own.
Sporting a three-piece horn section, the 44s concoct a rich mesh of ska, jazz, punk and rock. With sixteen legs between them they can run fast, leap high or ride four tandems.
