Bio
Formed in 2002, a couple of short years later have seen the band develop into a highly regarded prospect for the future, in both the studio and on stage. Already hugely successful on the local scene with performances in popular venues such as The Met Lounge, Peterborough and Cambridge's popular breeding ground for unsigned talent, The Man on the Moon, the band are now starting to head further afield. A hugely successful appearance recently at the Dublin Castle in London elevated the band to a higher level, in what looks like being just at the start of their journey as their status grows.
And its not only on stage where Tern revel, their debut self-titled EP features
four examples of the band at their best, You Owe Me, Push One Stop, Sleeping
Awake and BigBadBill, all performed with the generous energy and life that is
so rare in the confines of studio recording. The band plan to record more songs
in the very near future, but in the meantime they are kind enough to give away
their CD to anybody who will join their mailing list via their website..
With an impressive local following, gig and recording experience behind them,
coupled with encouraging interest from management and record labels, its no
wonder Tern are being tipped for big things. In a world littered with rock wannabies
and bands with ideas above their station, Tern will stand out a mile
offering a rare musical necessity; talent with substance. And as the march towards
commercial and critical acclaim continues, you'd be a brave man to
stand in their way.
The purely simple energetic rock and roll which they so masterfully produce
is laced with an unavoidable sexiness.
