Starcrossed Spitfires
Bio
Band members names - role in the band:
Kitty Cocaine (lead singer)
Ivan 666 (guitar)
Ena Blame (bass)
Jimmy Nintendo (drums)
Brief Band History:
Kitty and Jimmy met at University, sharing a passion for all things pop when it was unfashionable to do so...then Kitty and Missy blame met in the toilets of a rock club, and on the summer of 2000, Kitty found Ivan on the streets of Soho, puking his guts out. The band, based in Sheffield, was officially formed there and then...in London, having members from the most unlikely places: India, Canada, Brazil and...Blackpool. The band started making music just one month before their debut gig, already as headliners, at the notorious Boardwalk, in Sheffield (the same place The Clash debuted). The rest is (or will be) history...the band is playing a set of one off riotous gigs, full of glitter, feather boas, balloons, and, sometimes, controversy (the infamous vandalising of the Manchester Roadhouse walls, for one), and won't settle till they are the best and biggest band in Britain. Actually, they won't settle even THEN.
Influences:
Sex Pistols, Daphne&Celeste, Glam Rock, Being bored
Life changing albums?
The Make-Up: 'I want some'
The Cure: 'Mixed Up'
New Order: 'Republic'
Sonic Youth: 'Dirty'
Hard to pick albums, but those, like many others, simply showed us that making music is more exciting than leading ordinary lives. Our fave albums made us want to be in a band...

What are your plans for the future, releases, tours etc..?
Demoing new tracks and one-off gigs wherever/whenever we may get them, using anarcho-terrorist tactics to get noticed and get new fans and new enemies, single by the end of 2001.
