Bio
Schmoof write effervescent synth-pop about all those things that matter the most - boys, nail varnish & chocolate, as shown on their debut album ‘Bedroom Disco’, released on austrian label Angelica Kohlermann. Tracks from ‘Bedroom Disco’ such as ‘Chocolate Boyfriend’ and ‘Kinky Spaceman’ have received daily radio airplay across Europe and in New York.
Schmoof’s saucy live show, which they regular tour around the UK, consists of leather, PVC, high heels, ZX spectrum projections & frantic strap-on keyboard duels. Schmoof host their own successful nights at the Water Rats Theatre London, ‘Warm electro for cold ears’, supported by other melodic electronic acts.
‘Chocolate boyfriend’ and ‘Sweet child o’mine’ recently appeared on the most recent bluefire compilation album, Snakebite city 11 and both tracks have been given a special mention as stand-out tracks in many of the reviews of the album.
The youthful issues tackled by Schmoof have led to three tracks being licensed to a Canadian tv company for use on ‘girlstuff boystuff’, a popular teen cartoon series. As well as remixing J+J+J's Jobs That Require Headphones, Schmoof are due to have a song on the compilation Miami Resistance Vol 2 due NOW on Kinetik Media in the US.
