Pilotlight are :
Pilotlight are a London-based quartet creating intense and moving music - from the fragile and intricate, to the harsh and overwhelming. The band formed in their native Dublin in the summer of 2001, and performed under the name Polar.
Music To Cross The Road To recently earned prime daytime airplay on Ian Camfield's Xfm show after being voted Best Unsigned Act of the Week by the listeners of the station's X-Posure show.
The band released three singles in Ireland with South and Butterflies both securing regular airtime on the highly-influential Dublin-based Phantom FM. Bite Your Nails followed in early-2005 and entered the national singles chart at a very respectable number 36, and continues to feature on the in-board radio for all Aer Lingus flights.
The band moved to London later that year and decided to mark their relocation with a name change to Pilotlight. Since their arrival, the band have played regular headline slots at venues across the capital, including Barfly, Dublin Castle, Metro and ULU. Coercion Records re-released Bite Your Nails for the UK in March 2007.
