Born at the start of 2004, My Sad Captains have been playing regularly in London since. Named through a poem by Thom Gunn, MSC have been making various home recordings and in the summer of 2005 recorded six songs at Kore studios in London with Chris Sheldon. Their influences range from Pavement, Grandaddy and The Flaming Lips to Four Tet, Wilco, Yo La Tengo and Sparklehorse.
