After first picking up an acoustic guitar in early 2000, it seemed that I was the perfect accompaniment to my sister's sultry and soulful voice. Cassie is a natural singer, since childhood her talent has been apparent to anyone that hears her. I'd always been passionate about music so it made perfect sense that we should work together.
Soon after writing our first songs we began performing together at jam nights around our home town of Northampton to much acclaim. After some time we gained a bass player in the form of Fraggle and continued to play acoustic gigs and jams.
We recorded our first CD as Lounge Act in early 2002 and shortly after gained drummer/percussionist Simon, who successfully rounded off the band dynamic. As our sound progressed with a rhythm section we decided to change our name to Mooch.
Recently, we had the opportunity to compete in a 'Battle Of The Bands' competition final in Northampton and came a very close second to Kapowski. It wasn't all bad though as a local businessman who was at the gig was so impressed he gave us £500 to record a demo. The result is the 'Mellow Drama' EP which is beginning to attract much interest.
