Moco are one part punk rock n’roll and one part worrying mental condition. Moco are Nurse Ratchett’s worst nightmare. They are sleazy Texan PCP-fuelled swamp rock via Wigan high street. No one knows what they’re on but everyone wants a bit. They look like they live in canals. Their music should soundtrack adverts for really big jeeps. They rock !

Moco formed 2 years ago in Wigan. Word soon spread about the rock behemoths and particularly the gazelle like singer Steve ‘Mobile’ Jones. The band played live in and around Manchester, at every venue stages were treated with little or no respect, audiences left feeling confused, delirious and questioning Jones’ genealogy. One gig supporting The Parkinsons lasted as long as 32 seconds. This proved enough time for the band to destroy the amps , p.a and two tables before being ejected from the venue. It wasn’t long before the Manchester Evening News heralded them as ‘The Best Live Band In Manchester’ and one NME scribe promise “If they ain’t big stars in the making, NME will show it’s arse in Burtons window”.
