Bio
Biography: With the never-ending wave of simpering, uninspired "emo" ear-sores and identikit New York-via Camden Indie sound-a-likes, Merthyr Tydfil's MIDASUNO return with brand new Mini Album “'Til Death Do Us Party“. – their follow-up to 2003’s “When Bulls Play God” (Metal Hammer (8/10), Rock Sound (7/10), Terrorizer (8/10) Big Cheese Magazine (4/5), BBC Music Online (4/5) to remind people the true meaning of the term 'Alternative'.
Following a number of line-up changes and label based struggles, the band have a new label and new sound and have prepared 2006’s release - the outfit’s first in almost three years, as a stunning statement of intent – a massive aural ‘fuck you and thank you’ to the forces that have surrounded the band’s seemingly ever fateful campaign to stay afloat in rock's current climate whilst dignity and integrity remaining intact.
18 Months of extensive toilet circuit touring (sharing stages with A Perfect Circle, Cave-In, The Wildhearts, Funeral For A Friend and Katastrophy Wife along the way) allowed the band to hit the studio and re-create themselves, armed with experience and a greater creative palette than before (The addition of Lyndon Jones - performing Keyboards/FX/Samples and Guitarist/Vocalist Chris Morgan) - resulting in the band's most visceral yet digestible recordings to date.
Recorded at Strongbox Studios based in Penarth, Cardiff with Nick Lloyd (Sparks Lights & Flames, Dirty Perfect), “'Til Death...“ features “A Machine; The Rhythm Thief“ which appeared as a demo version on Rock Sound magazine’s ‘Music With Attitude’ monthly compilation and bagged the "Best Track" vote, and "The Law of Tooth & Fang" - both taken from the band’s forthcoming debut album, alongside 3 tracks exclusive to the release.
The band are preparing for "'Til Death..."'s coinciding tour, and will be returning to the studio to complete work on the bands long-awaited forthcoming debut long-player “Songs In The Key Of Fuck“, set to drop Winter 2006.
