Gavin Baker is usually associated with his *other band*, Billy Mahonie (www.billymahonie.com) - That's when he's not being associated with Jet Johnson or Glider. Gavin is a fan of Nic Jones, Palace, and Lou Reed's Berlin LP. He knows that Red by King Crimson is the best album ever recorded and also listens to Art Pepper, Gerry Mulligan and other modern and west coast jazz. This has seemingly no influence on his latest project, Meets Guitar which is a sultry take on Folk Rock. Hard to describe and almost impossible to define, the sound is both as beautiful as fresh morning dew and as dirty as an incestuous romp in the pig pen.
