Bio
Mean+Flower is (and at one point was):
Mean+Flower, based in Norway and England, play ripping, catchy rock. Having started in 2002 and recording our first demo 'In Bloom' after only a few months of practice, 'The Innocent', drawn from said record, received good reviews in a varied spectrum of the media, and remains a live favourite.
Following the release of 'In Bloom', they went into the studio again in August 2003 to record 4 songs that would later become 'Heal Your Machines Today, Raise Your Children Tomorrow'. A collection of morbid lovesongs and philosophical pondering, the record was also welcomed with open arms by several. 'Last Words', the first track on the ep (and available here at myspace) was released by the excellent Smalltownamerica records on their Public Service Broadcast 3 compilation.
At this point that great calling known as "higher education" tore the band apart somewhat, and would do for the next few years as certain parties went overseas to learn things. During the autumn of 2003 and the spring of 2004, two members left and replacements had to be found.
In early 2006, they recorded five songs that will be released of their forthcoming EP 'Orchards'.
