Lucky Thirteen are:
Dave House - vocals/guitar
Jon
Ashworth - bass/backing vocals
Chris Kiely - drums
Dan Sloan
- guitar/backing vocals
The three members Lucky Thirteen have been playing together under various
names & members since the Winter of '99. The previous line-ups did have some
success, the biggest achievement being Radio One's Evening Session 'Single of
the week'.
Shortly after recording the band's second demo tape, known to the members as the
'Pats The Limit' session, Lucky Thirteen joined the
Gravity DIP management stable
(Hundred Reasons, Stapleton, Douglas, Errortype:11, Capdown, Twofold). With
their help, this demo caught the eye of a few promoters and fanzines which helped
the band get support slots with the likes of Garrison, A, Hundred Reasons &
Koufax, to name but a few.
In November 2002, Lucky Thirteen did their first large scale tour with old
friends Hundred Reasons, along with Sparta & Kinesis. This tour was to be followed
up with the release of their first single, a split with Twofold, produced by
Larry Hibbitt on Gravity DIP Records.
To co-incide with the release of the single, the band undertook a 22 date trek
round the UK on the Team Gravity Tour with Douglas, Stapleton & Twofold.
The band have started 2003 writing new material and introducing new member Dan
Sloan on guitar. There are plans for a new release / tour before the middle of
the year. Check their website for details.
