Bio
Let Airplanes Circle Overhead consist of three core members: Luke Roberts (guitar), David Langfield (drums), and James Johnson (guitar/bass).
Their name comes from W.H. Auden's 'Funeral Blues', the poem quoted in Four Weddings And A Funeral, although the band will vehemently claim their music is closer in spirit to the original source.
They are most easily compared to bands on Constellation Records and bracketed with the over-used 'post-rock' tag, but the melancholic sound they forge can explode from glacial calm to riotous anger in an instant.
