Bio
A band that produced amazing home made records that forced people to get off their backsides and go to their live shows, shows that turned out to be well worth the effort. And this, pretty much, was where the band seemed to have arrived at in no time at all...
Introducing Kid Galahad: Ash (vocals) Cavey (guitar) Paul (bass) Wookie (drums)
In the meantime, Kid Galahad collectively go on with the business, with all the band members coming up with songs, with all the time in the world to evolve at their own pace and experiment away from the spotlight. With the live shows taking on an ever increasing momentum, the interest of record companies began to take place.
In September 2000, the band opted for independent label Ignition Records. Kid Galahad then enlisted the services of producer Jim Abbiss (Bjork, Sneaker Pimps, U.N.K.L.E., DJ Shadow) to begin realising the true potential of their songs to date. The first result of their collaboration with Jim is their debut EP Stealin' Beats. Their first release includes a couple of songs recorded in Ash's back garden, plus a track from their live set, as well as the Jim Abbiss produced Stealin' Beats.
Work continues with producer Jim Abbiss, early soundings from the studio conjure up a UK rock fusion of American pioneers Jane's Addiction and Beck.
