Kenneth Ishak is best known, or more accurately only known for his work in the power-pop, indie-rock/pop, emo (or whatever you like to call it) quartette called Beezewax. But what most people don't know is that he secretly built a small studio in the basement of his parents house and stuffed it with drums, organs and so on. In this tiny little studio he has made two very different solo albums at the same time, containing some of his best work so far. The studio has almost become Kenneth's closest friend & lover over the last two years, which is quite strange but not surprising when he has spent every free second twisting knobs and pushing buttons. This intimate affair has pushed Kenneth towards new sounds and song structures that never could've evolved in a band. But hopefully Kenneth will start seeing daylight and other people again when both records are released and in your stereos. First up will be the cozy country flavored pop gem that is named after Kenneths's favorite tv-show that he is quite obsessed with; "Northern exposure". This one was recorded almost in the same spirit as Paul Westerbergs "Stereo/Mono" records, most of it is done on the first take and not much time was put in to the mixing, and the result is a raw, honest, beautiful and down to earth pop album.

Next up is the album where Kenneth went mad in studio - "Everything has soul" Try to imagine a record where you can hear influences of Her Space Holiday, Big Star, Beach Boys, 70's/80's Michael Jackson, Phoenix, Dinosaur Jr, Wilco, Elliott Smith, the Posies, the Flaming Lips, Jim O'Rourke and Son Volt all together in a perfect mix. Weird? Yes. Great? Yes again.
