Bio
Japanese Intelligence Mind Control, aka Vicki Churchill, makes music verging on the slight or esoteric, but with a light touch, creative flair and a sense of gentle introspection that makes for engaging listening. Often based around 404 beats and driving keyboard lines, songs are sometimes overlaid with live bass and crunchy guitars. Her free approach to structures and sounds is reminiscent of early Syd Baratt and Brian Eno.
Churchill's debut single 'Touch Me' was produced by Two Lone Swordsmen, and released on Superstonic records in 2002; 'Small Pieces' was featured on Brainlove Records' 'Real Pirate Radio' compilation in 2005.
Churchill has also worked under the moniker Sweetie and is an ex-member of the Schla La Las.
