Bio
THE ESSENTIAL FUCKED UP BLUES was their debut release (on Sweet Nothing Records), offering an adrenaline fuelled journey through darkness and to salvation.
The second record, LOVE IS A CHARM OF POWERFUL TROUBLE (on Estrus Records), is a powerful and poignant statement. Revelation always accompanies LOVE. And with “LOVE....”, ILCKII revealed a more dynamic soundscape, a new drummer in JRR Token, and the addition of “II” to the name. ILCK always champions evolution and revelation.
In February 2004, the duo naturally turned trio by adding new member Jeff Goodwin. Goodwin plays the fuzzed Hammond B3 organ and Rhodes electric piano via his wood-grain midi-keyboard. No longer only a punk blues band, ILCK evolved into a new triple-headed beast that genre specific geek musicologists (a.k.a.“scenesters’) are challenged to define. The IMMORTAL 3’s sound now lies somewhere in the third dimension of depth, as revealed on the canvases of the great Renaissance painters, and in the film JAWS 3D.
The Immortal Lee County Killers release a brand new limited edition single, “TURN ON THE PANTHER” b/w a cover of the Doors classic “BEEN DOWN SO LONG” via Sweet Nothing on April 18th 2005. The band return for a headline tour April 22nd 2005.
