Brief Band History:

Formed in the summer of 1999 in a local youth club. After producing an early demo tape the band secured initial live outings with Raging Speedhorn and Tribute to Nothing. Defenestration have been locked away in a recording studio for the past months, finishing off their soon to be released first album.

Influences:

“We’ve been listening to a lot of alternative music for inspiration instead of metal stuff, and that’s reflected to an extent in our own songs. We don’t want to fall foul of typical metal clichés, we want a fresh perspective on things, with varying degrees of light and shade, melody and extremity.”

What are your plans for the future, releases, tours etc..?

The band’s debut album, “One Inch God” is due to be released through Dreamcatcher in the not too distant future. A full U.K. tour is proposed to coincide with the albums release.
