Bio
Cultural Ice Age are a revelation in every conceivable way. In a society where free-speech is increasingly frowned upon and the only way to make a statement is through violence, Cultural Ice Age preach something entirely different. Through their exceptional brand of exciting rock action of their demo ‘Survival of the Richest’ to arguably some of the most exhilarating live shows many have seen “They’ve got enough energy to power Portsmouth for years to come,” proclaimed one excited onlooker. Cultural Ice Age are truly here to make an impact.
Cultural Ice Age (or CIA as their fanbase address them) came together in the binding August of 2001, and through a haze of books, music and love, they came to what they are today. They are formed of Lee Holdway on drums, Ian Milton-Polley on bass guitar, Chandy Waterman on guitars and Colin Roberts doing other stuff like singing, FX and some guitars and junk.
"I walk around the streets of my scummy hometown on a regular basis. The people of this nation are bored, fed up. Being spoon-fed culture is OK if you are a brain-dead drone, but most people are intelligent. The way in which we are dismissed and simply absorb the media means we are bringing ourselves down – our voting apathy has proved this. Make a stand and make a difference, otherwise the downfall of everything around us really will be your fault" Colin Roberts
