Bio
In the summer of 2000, three music loving individuals became one as corporation:blend was born. They set about cultivating a sound and energy that was independent of their peers and in 2001, with an unwavering self belief and the aid of various drummers, became fledgelings on the London circuit.
By 2002 they had a reputation. By 2003, they had a demo - "She’s Nothing Special", "Contradiction", "Blew It’ - that was in a calibre of it’s own. Propelled to being as busy as an unsigned band can get, corporation:blend played shows with six by seven, the parkinsons, ten benson, art brut and my red cell, receiving consistantly impressive live/demo reviews.
Yet it wasn’t until November 2003 - when drummer Ash Howard joined - that corporation:blend came of age. Opening for king adora, the audience discovered for themselves a truly great rock band and by the end were shouting for tops to come off, applauding loudly and falling instantly in love. corporation:blend spent the rest of the night signing autographs and newly purchased (and quickly sold out) demos.
2004:
A new journey begins, armed with a travelling, eager fan base and a double A-side ‘for all my sins’/ ‘blew it’. A grand rock entrance heralding a new dawn in the first week of june. corporation:blend don’t have modest pretensions. they want to be on the road. They want to be in your home, on your stereo. they want to make it and are not afraid to prove it.
Understatement: “corporation:blend are intelligent, articulate, possessed and beautiful. They have gigantic songs, a mountain of determination and limitless potential. An essential part of the underground pop explosion vanguard, rock stars in waiting and no one-trick pony”. As Black Velvet Magazine recently put it, corporation:blend are “an exciting band threatening to explode”.
