Combining the electronic tones of the sound chip from a Nintendo Entertainment System with driving, melodic guitars in an indie rock/powerpop fashion, Anamanaguchi is the brainchild of NYU Music Technology student Peter Berkman plus bassist James DeVito from New York, and Spencer Casey & Chalie Hankin from Baltimore (guitar and drums respectively).
