Triple Whip formed in 2002 as a trio, releasing an EP ('Bare Boned') andfull-length ('Slapshot', 2003) on Innocent Words Records. Mini-tours, festival appearances and a fair share of benefit shows followed, and two drummers were lost along the way. In March 2005, British expat Jane Boxall took over stick duties and Triple Whip released another EP ('Snake Creeps Down', 2005). Founding member Santanu Rahman relocated to Texas as 2006 began, and Triple Whip became a bass-and-drum instrumental band. A live reviewer praised the duo's new direction: "Wow is the only word that I came up with to describe their set.
