Brief History

The current line up of The Bardo has been together since February 2000, ever since the fateful night when Laura drunkenly stumbled across one of the band's record company contacts after an uninspiring Ash gig at the Astoria. Since then the trio have gone from strength to strength, spending time recording in Northern Ireland a couple of summers ago, playing gigs with Static X, Clutch, Groop Dogdrill, Miocene, One Dice, Janus Stark, and Miss Black America and then signing a deal with Riverman Records last February, just after completing an 18-date UK tour supported by Irish bands Throat and Zerotonin. A quiet spell followed but their debut album, 'Libertine', was recorded at the Townhouse in December.

The Bardo have now parted company with Riverman and are keeping going DIY style, gigging across the country.
