Superelectric
Bio
Band members names - role in band:
Fro - Bass, Sequencing, Keyboards.
Callaghan - Vocals.
Blagga T - DJ & Percussion
Bob - Guitar
Brief Band History:
Formed around two years ago, with a mission to make some tunes that we liked for ourselves, we find ourselves still going. We have had minor successes with live gigs, namely a memorable night at Leeds Warehouse, A New Years Eve gig at The 4Aces (Londons Oldest live venue) and blowing away a band called Orange Can at Josephs Well. We are currently on a live break, to enable us to record, and record some more. We may even change our live performance during this period, cos the tunes are ever changing.
Discography:
SuperElectric 001 - 1996 - 'Driving South', 'Playing Strange', 'Brilliance' & 'Dead Pan'
500 copies produced of first effort. Bit of a feeble indie C.D.
SuperElectric Demo 1 - Sept 1999 - 'Going Blank', 'Project', 'Blue 22', 'Life is not a rehearsal'
200 copies sold or given away.
Self produced debut CD (with current line up). Just starting to find our feet, this CD drew in a lot of attention, but no-one with bags of money heard it.
'Music for Joyriding' - July 1 2000 - 'Starsky', 'Never Touch', 'Honey I Funked the Kids', 'M.S.T.', 'This Bud's For You', 'Marvin's Trip', 'Never touch (Remix)'
A free CD given away at Leeds Cockpit Gig, with special cover and everything! Basically a hard drive clear out, to ready ourseleves for our work in progress, which is...........
Songs about Love & Drugs ( working title) - ?Feb 2001 - 'Ballad', 'Sufferin' on Sunday', 'Magic Cupboard', 'Blank Yet Again', 'Hutch', 'Spirit Break' and more as we do them.
Influences:
The Verve, The Stone Roses, Spiritualized, The Chemical Brothers, New Order and lots of others.
Life changing albums?
'Exit Planet Dust' by Chemical Brothers - we were running a club at the time of its release. I was hardcore Guitar man, but this album had the sounds I was looking for, before I knew I was looking for them and 'A Northern Soul' by The Verve - the greatest album ever produced.
How can fans get in touch with the band?

What are your plans for the future, releases, tours etc..?
We should have our debut album out on local release and mail order in Feb 2001 - if 'Black & White' (game) comes out before then, it may well be 2002. We will consider our live position when the choons are in the can.
