Gravity Sounds hail from Ashton-upon-Lyne, Manchester and were formed by lead vocalist Sean Waring, who had built up quite a reputation around Manchester under the name Child-At-Mind. Having recruited Darren Balfe on guitars, Mad Dave Hewitt on bass and drummer Rick Vizard they changed their name to Moses, and soon afterwards Gravity Sounds. Their first ever gig was a support slot with NME darlings The Music in April at the Witchwood in Ashton.
