Brief band history:
Formed in 1996 and oriented from the beginning to the dark side of crossover and nu-metal, GF93 released two albums that can easily represent the band's history and evolution.
After a year long collaboration with Paolo Favati (a.k.a. P.F., an electro-industrial guru who worked with Einsturzende Neubauten, Pankow, Dive) the band recorded the first album Beaten in 1997. The band's very first experience was totally influenced by the industrial metal movement. This was due to the production of Paolo Favati and the background of the vocalist: Carlo Bellotti, former singer and leader of the black metal band Necromass.
A very big fanbase was built in Italy with proper promotion and album's good sales, but the band was looking for more: European market, English production and more rock attitude.
The band spent some time to release and record new songs, and eventually for the second album GF93 signed with an English label: Copro Records.
Copro Records was a new but growing label who offered to GF93 a good deal and the chance to reach a new sound working with Dave Chang, a heavy-rock and hardcore sound oriented producer.
This was the combo's idea and wish for the future. In fact the second album G.oetia F.etish 1993, recorded and produced in 1999, changed the band's upcoming events. More melodic songs and less electro/industrial sounds made GF93 a well known band, respected in Europe, big in Italy.
