Acetate Zero formed in Paris, France in 1996.

Their sound has been compared to Bedhead, Mogwai, Hood...

The first single appeared in 1998, followed shortly in 1999 by their debut album Softcore Paradise ( later reissued by US label Drumkid Records ). Several singles later, the group emerged with their second album Ground Altitude in 2002, followed by Crestfallen, their 3rd album, in 2004 - both albums released on French label Arbouse Recordings.

In february 2006 they toured with Rothko and in december 2006, they released We deny this an album consisting of live tracks & previously unreleased material.
