I appreciate you didn't like the album

but the getting-the-album-name-wrong-on-purpose thing was a bit much.

and it's with Cloud Boat too!

:)

the tour is in OCTOBER!

not November!

damn you, Boards of Canada!

Under The Coke Sign is played just before the Skelton track... forgot to tag it as it's so short! balls.

well i liked

Human After All...

haha

it'll be like that bit in Darkplace where Renwick explodes...

"i'll get a mop"

hahaha

i knew someone would pick me up on that... ;)

christ

can someone translate this review into english please?!
;)

that's an amazing picture of him though

kudos for whoever did that!
still, very sad news.

he certainly is

i'd give him one.

is that picture

of stu, who doesn't play in these monsters anymore?

i think

calla's single deserved more than a quick joke about something on their myspace to be honest!

that golau glau remix is ace

and is on our remix album, 'arrivals remixed'
www.worriedaboutsatan.co.uk to buy it!
< /jag>

certainly is!

tickets available from here-
http://www.wegottickets.com/event/67095

you ain't kiddin!

calla + brainwash = AMAZING.

new satan stuff should be ready soon. single coming out early next year :)

sexy.

with added sex.

you should be awaiting this calla album

i've heard the recordings, and oh sweet jesus it sounds immense! the single 'long grass' is utterly amazing too. that;s out soon, right tom? joe?!

'cup tied'!

amazing work, joe!

SEX

we'll have a new single out by then too.
AND we'll have the remix album too, WHICH features a remix by HER NAME IS FLAMIN' CALLA!!!!!
sex.

yeah, we're doing brainwash

but we don't know which venue, or what time! all we know is it's either royal park or brudenell.
probably will end up being royal park, but we live in hope...!

thanks for all the nice comments so far, hope to see you all soon!

the best HNIC gig i've ever seen

and i've seen an awful lot of them!
the sooner they're playing stages like that all the time, the better.
fucking marvellous.

NIN (Manchester)

use the internet as much as humanely possible. in your early days, give stuff away for free (we did this with a whole album), as it crops up everywhere and if it's good, people will share it and your name will spread. then you can start charging for things on the next one! it's all about building a name for yourself!

a little of both

the ambient stuff on 'evil dogs' is a few claps and drum noises pitched at random tones every time with loads of reverb and delay on it. no synth is on the album, it's mainly just warped noises. the main 'riff' on pissing about is actually a cut up cello. fun fact!

random noises

and a hell of a lot of reverb/delay!

aww shucks

thanks for the nice words, and thanks for the amazing review too!
what a day :)
x

this seems to have passed me by

but i'm intrigued as to how bad this is...

academy 3?

jesus, i saw them in there in 2004! then they went to academy 2 in 05... now back to 3?! jeez, they aren't that bad!

hehe, and as a life long lover of dEUS, i'd suggest the song 'instant street' for a grand introduction to dEUS. it's on possibly my favourite album ever, 'the ideal crash'.

we even named our band after an obscure dEUS b-side. 10 cool points if you know what single it's off... ;-)

BEF

are playing the Holy Trinity Church in Leeds on Nov 1st.
with worriedaboutsatan.
and Her Name Is Calla.
Put it in your diary!

haha!

the bouncer by kicks like a mule... ahh that takes me back!!
we still play on a ragga tip in the car en route to gigs as well.
awesome.

tropical?

what the fuck does tropical mean?!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH

that's the last time i try and go to a festival.

*sigh*

well...

i agree with pizz101 here- radiohead signed a contract in 1992/93, a lot has changed in the music industry since then, most notably Guy Hands taking over at EMI.

as a venture capitalist, he's got absolutely no idea how to run a record label (see 1,500 jobs going last year), so if i were in Radiohead's position, i'd be pretty miffed too.

I also think there's a mis-understanding about money and control over rights too. O'Brien never said it was about the money- simply control over how to use their music, as EMI can pretty much do whatever the hell they want with 6 albums worth of material. which is pretty scary.

that best of looks atrocious, and no Radiohead fan in their right mind is going to buy it, so i think Ed's right when he says he can't see why EMI are doing it. probably to cash in.

anyway, back to work... ;-)

place your bets now...

who will it be?! PLACE-A-BET-NOOOWWWWW!

paul weller?
noel gallagher?
beth orton?
pete doherty?
carl barat?
ian brown?
the guy who sings for scouting for girls?
that dude in the courteeners?
the ugly guy in the enemy?
that penis pump in the fratellis?
kate moss/ any generic model-turned-singer?
bobby gillespie?
richard ashcroft?
one of the chemical brothers?
lilly allen?
paolo nutini?
a sugababe?

...or the wild card choice of cedric bixler?

CHOOSE NOW!

"rooted in techno and dance music"

may i be the first to say...
AAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
i'm sure richie hawtin is losing sleep already...

jim/john/robin/andy if you're reading this

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY!

something tells me

it's A)the past is a grotesque animal.

like all sigur rós albums after AB

i'm not listening to it until it's out and i can take my time with it.

in my humble opinion, ( ) wasn't as good as takk. i find takk very dreamy and ethereal, ( ) was just too emotionally heavy for repeated listens. especially in the middle of the album. although obviously, it has it's moments of pure sonic joy...

still, no doubt the new one will be better than Von.

have DiS

been reading the insanely large minimal techno thread currently popping up now and again on the boards...?!

9 Sowerby Bridge The Vine

(w/ worriedaboutsatan)

me too

everything since walking with thee has been mere 'meh'

i don't know about you

but i can't wait for Hootie and the Blowfish to confirm...

underworld- why are you playing?!!

you're so much better than that!!

we're

on this but don't get a mention in that artists bit at the top.
booooo.
still, looks like a quality cd, can't wait to give it a listen.
our track has no guitars in it either.

LGBD and super extra gravity

are superb albums. i may buy this one, but i have all of them anyway!
and nina... *adopts waynes world voice* she will be mine. oh yes. she will be mine...

10/10?

really?

a stone cold one

at that.
yum.

if you french fry instead of pizza

you're gonna have a baaaad time.

i'd have gone for

'absolutely cuckoo' by the magnetic fields.
http://artists.letssingit.com/magnetic-fields-lyrics-absolutely-cuckoo-2vm3ljk

if only for the line about killing himself and then having all his friends blaming the object of his affection for his death.
ha!
