these two lps deserve better commentary than this. wasted opportunity. what a bizarre review anyway. funeral for a friend? hardcore? yet no mention of bands like mineral or deep elm records.
that was a reply to the top comment, i was expecting it to 'nest'. oh well.
.
i suspect they will at some point. and here is a band that knows it's best songs, unlike that god awful get up kids reunion.
.
i haven't heard this lp yet but based on previous things i have heard, i am not sure how this band takes any inspiration from unwound other than by using instruments and playing music?
make that 4. finally punk sound like nodzzz?!
of the 3 bands i know from that list, i don't think any of them sound like nodzzz.
why does your list at the top go straight from rites of spring to cap'n jazz? the most exciting period of emo is what happened in between those bands. 4 minute mile is the only get up kids record worth owning.
.
please can you recommend some identical / similar sounding bands?
.
this was a dreadful gig, it was painful. like watching a get up kids cover band.
eddy
they are on tour here next year. best band around right now. no surprise, this review has little attention.
?
tim kinsella was never in american football. stop pretending you know what you're talking about.
this album sucks.
.
no surprise, this band is lost on DiS.
.
youthful exhuberance was fun when cap'n jazz did it. but these guys and los campesinos just sound forced.

this stuff should be making you angry. you have grown complacent. if you don't have a mortgage, big family car, a dog and 2 children, its time to acquire them.
Funeral Diner - The Underdark
this is funeral diners worst release by far, which is a shame as their output is generally good. the recent 10" is much better.
bloody skramos.
Finch - Say Hello To Sunshine
seeing as screamo was at its peak in 1999-2000, that is simply not true.
funch.
The Decemberists - Picaresque
Young Offenders Institute - We're The Young Offend
Pictures Paint Words - A B C D E F G H I J K L M N
The Unicorns - Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're Go

Mastodon - Leviathan
Hot Snakes - Audit In Progress
haven't heard this yet, but most reports have been disappointing. no mention of the wipers in this review?
