it's more introspective than most of the strokes' stuff. it reminds me a bit of things like fear of sleep (especially left & right in the dark) and red light, only toned down. just because the relative "lightness" of the synth sound is not as intense as the music on tracks like those mentioned, isn't really enough for me to see it as any kind of party music, and i think it's all the better for it.

that said, there could have been a bit more variety, in vocal style especially, he has a lot more to play on.

3/10 though? no way.

saw them last night and will be sure to catch them in december as well. very recommendable

the one track i've got on my ipod is pretty sweet, although not mentioned here

the previous one also got 8/10, and there is no way this deserves a high as score as that one. outrageous

i loved the last album. with this one, i listened to half the butchered version of 'eagle on a pole' and left it at that.

charging people ridiculous amounts to go to their stupid festival which is like one long advertisement for all the various sponsors, and 99% of the people there are cunts as well.

i'm glad there is finally another one to take its place as the biggest norwegian festival, cause frankly that was embarrassing.

good riddance. there's not a big enough market for both quart and hove anyway, and hove seems to be doing all the right things, while quart has been going steadily downwards for years.

have a good time, all who are lucky enough to be attending
