spot on

thank you

This doesn't apply to all naysayers, but

I get the feeling that some people dislike a popular album with SUCH enthusiasm that they are kinda doing it for effect.
'Look at me I'm dead different to you zombies' etc.

try stargreen

www.stargreen.com

they kept their office open for 20 minutes later than they should just so I could pick up my The Walkmen ticket that I forgot I needed to pick up.
They took sympathy on my panicky last-minute phone call and for that I am forever grateful.
Not necessarily cheaper but at least they have a living, breathing office.

There were far too many

wankers in the crowd for my liking.

Decent band though.

I won't hear

a word against Gruff's solo stuff.

lalalalaaaaaaaaaaaa can't heeeeeear youuuuuuuuuuu

aww thanks!

Bosch!

That's all

god her voice fucking

winds me up

jjjjjjjjjuuuuuuuuustice

.

2008

no one died

I only really got into LSF from Let's Stay Friends

And I want more.

Am I better off getting this reissue or the other albums? I'm not normally one for compilations.

If Eavis is concerned about too many oldies

then why book Neil Diamond?

i got a ticket

flog it to ya for a billion quid

I love the way that

Despite the music being all challenging and borderline virtuoso and studied yadda yadda yadda, all they need to do to get a massive cheer is.........whack that REALLY high cymbal!

That cymbal is like their Bez.

Actually,

delete Jigsaw from that list. Tis a ruddy belter.

Good sign/bad sign

Good sign - I love it enough to want that second cd NOW NOW NOW.

Bad sign - Some tracks leave me feeling unsatisfied, like some potentially amazing ideas haven't been fully realised. Namely Weird Fishes, Jigsaw and Bodysnatchers. Feels like they're wilfully not unleashing that fuck-off 5th gear.

Maybe I'll come round.

Press releases exist for a reason...

To prevent hundreds of journalists calling up record companies, asking the same questions.

Yes, journalists can be lazy and should check things which sound implausible, and press releases do breed laziness, but if you start bullshitting in press releases, then everybody's back to square one.

If you're going to deal with the press, you gotta meet them half way and at least give them correct infomation.

Still, great publicity he's got from this rant!

Crispin Hunt?

Where art thou?

Good point

Well made.

Been a while since I was on there clearly.

Pitch-fork off

I can barely make it to the end of PF's reviews to even find the rating system, which makes it pretty pointless.

At least this review didn't make me wanna drop arsenic into into my Frosties, despite the dodge rating.

Wot no Alberta Cross?

Get 'em in for goodness sake. Unless their Swedish genes make them ilegible...

Otherwise, Field Music of course and Gruff Rhys' one, which is nearly as good as premium-rate SFA.

Anyone else find Jarvis and Good, Bad and Queen both quite tedious? I was looking forward to them too. Aah well.
