Neil P Ashman!!
How the bloody hell are you?!
Broken Records are far superior live than on record. Having said that, I'd up that score to 6.5 at least.
The album that she did with The Wooden Stars was fantastic.
Not so keen on her solo stuff, though...
Why have my choices been neglected?! A travesty...
1) Charlottefield - What Are Friends For
2) Lower Definition - The Greatest Of All Lost Arts
3) Tim Ten Yen - Everything Beautiful Reminds Me Of You
4) Wild Beasts - Limbo Panto
5) Down I Go - Tyrant
6) Rotary Ten - These Are Our Hands
7) Heavy Heavy Low Low - Turtle Nipple And The Toxic Shock
8) Rolo Tomassi - Hysterics
That's near my office.
Looks alright.
TERRIBLE line-up though. Hope it attracts better bands.
It's hardly surprising that they won.
Oh well...life goes on.
No, it's really not.
It's SHIT.
I expected better, Diver.
I am DISGUSTED.
You should be ashamed of yourselves, DiS.
On another note, Future of the Lef fifth?! Better than I thought they'd do.
Fuck Glasgow.
Come to Edinburgh instead.
Infinitely better...!
That's really bad.
Poor guy...
RIP.
Yeah he does.
He sings on 'Magazines', which is the second best song on the album (the title track being the best).
When are tickets on sale?
Specifically Edinburgh.
Future of the Left
...if that hasn't convinced you, then Portishead.
^ this
Mon' the Left.
^ word
I'll be there too.
THAT VOICE
The guy sounds like a hungover Marge Simpson, fercrissakes.
It's a good album.
Well, I like it anyway...
Lol @ "glorified builders"
The upper-middle class Daily Mail reader has spoken!
I genuinely don't get their appeal.
To these (un?)trained ears, it sounds like a Bruce Springsteen record.
Hmm, I might persevere...
First album was great.
New album is AWFUL.
My top 5?
1) Charlottefield - What Are Friends For
2) Down I Go - Tyrant
3) Youthmovies - Good Nature
4) Last Shadow Puppets - Age Of The Understatement
5) Forward Russia - Life Processes
Oh FFS...
Another great band gone.
Sadness.
RIP.
Attack In Black FTW!
That Protest The Hero album is wack.
Hope it's better than their last album.
(it won't be).
Yeah, that doesn't make sense.
Coldplay topped the chart and sold 30,000 to Neil Diamond's 60,000?!?
Yawhaaaa'?
*SOULLESS
I have shoes.
Couldn't agree more.
This band come across as a VERY poor version of (early) Pretty Girls Make Graves - the guy's voice in particular is ludicrously nauseating..to the point that it induces so much vein-popping anger.
Whiny, pretensious, "hip", vacuous, SOLELESS shit. HATE IT.
I DO NOT get the love for this band.
I've tried so many times to like them...I just can't.
Ark is VERY near my flat.
HURRAH!
I love this band SO much.
Fuck Jello and HIS ridiculous name.
The fact that they were one of either.
Never consistently AMAZING though.
Casket Lottery, on the other hand, were.
(IMO).
They ARE awesome.
SBB were annoyingly inconsistent though.
Why mention Small Brown Bike
and fail to include the infinitely superior Casket Lottery?!
Shame on you, Diver.
SHAME.
He really isn't very good at all.
Glad someone goes against this tide of bizarrely good reviews that Frank's solo stuff seems to get.
BRINGBACKMILLIONDEAD.
I'm going for the first time this year.
I'm scared.
...doesn't quite work though.
(innit)
Both HMV and my local record store don't have it in stock.
Was looking forward to getting this today too :(
Think Edinburgh gig's sold out :-(
Unless anyone knows anywhere else that's selling them other than Ticketmaster (and Ebay)?

That's probably because it's far from being an 8/10 record.
