well...
it is catchy and competently executed but i have to agree with the popular sentiments here; its unremarkable and feels kind of forced. i think for the disco-funk/nouveau new-wave to work it requires some more self-consciousness than the rapture deal in. there needs be as much tongue in cheek as spring in step, perhaps. also the lyrics are inane and i understand that rock lyrics needn't be brilliant but...come on. self-consciousness would tidy up the adolescent bravado...
did anyone else think butthole surfers when listening to live in sunshine?
