Mean Fiddler to offer Reading/Leeds downloads

[Pedant]

Feeder are on an indie (Echo, which is part of the Chrysalis Group, set up after the original Chrysalis was bought by EMI) and Supergrass are on Parlophone/EMI.

Re: Blood Brothers switch labels

"ARTISTdirect Records -- With BMG world-wide distribution, ARTISTdirect Records boasts an impressive roster of emerging talent from a wide variety of genres."
from www.artistdirectrecords.com. Their releases are distributed by BMG, but that doesn't mean they are owned by the major. V2's stuff is distributed by BMG in some territories, and by Sony in others, and the rest (including the UK- although Pinnacle is owned by BMG) are distributed by separate companies.

Re: Blood Brothers switch labels

Sorry, but the connection between v2 and virgin is that richard branson owns the former and used to own the latter, before he sold it to EMI (who own it to this date). The reason it's called V2 is because part of the condition of sale was that he couldn't use the name Virgin in another musical enterprise. Would like clarification on ArtistDirect tho, didn't even know they were a label...

Blood Brothers switch labels

"both ArtistDirect and V2 are part of the BMG group"

Last time I checked, V2 were very much an indie, with a heap of different distributors. Source(s) please?
