are high on fire any good then?

my mate reckons they're the loudest band he's ever heard, so i wouldn't mind going to see them. not much for russian circles, though ....

alcoholic brit hordes?

the only wasted people that i saw at the festival were spanish!

i walked out of jonathan richman

because i didn't think it was him! i thought he'd cancelled last minute and they'd had to rope in some random spanish dude from the street! d'oh!

i also didn't notice the power cutting for the melvins - it was bone-crunchingly loud right the way through. david thomas broughton was astonishing - i went to see him in the auditori hoping to sneak a cheeky half hour's kip, and ended up enthralled in one of the best sets i've ever seen.

depressing to think that this time last week i was pleasantly tipsy and gearing up for the black lips in barcelona, now i'm sat in my bedroom looking at rows of semi-detatched houses, waiting to go up to the local pub. humph :(

a half-decent gig at the sugarmill?

something must've gone wrong!

AAAAARGHHHH!

YES!

they better be playing on the saturday.

is alexander tucker on the atp stage?

does he just mooch around sheepishly in the corridor of the atp records office, offering to make cups of tea and take the post until barry hogan gives in and puts him on the festival bill?

in an ideal world

the 3100 who missed out would be twats who were planning to tout them on ebay

wow

very tempting. possibility of ticket prices being extortionate?

fantastic news

i seriously can't wait now. is that it, though? and does anyone know if any of these spanish bands are any good?

^^^^

indeed. fucking awesome line-up. still, barcelona >>>>>>>>>>> bristol.

fuck yeah

got to see this lot live if they play over here again this year.

^^^^

they are listed as a rumour on efestivals! god, i hope they do ...

i've only heard terrible things about live slint

i almost don't want to see them do spiderland at primavera.

my dad slept through hendrix's set at the isle of wight

just thought that i'd share that remarkable episode of my family history.

my mother is currently obsessed with nick drake

she wants me to go with her to visit his grave. he was an amazing man - i'll have to hunt down this documentary - anyone know if it's on dvd?

definitely going to this again

last year was the best weekend of the year (just beating atp xmas - the fact that you can take your own beer into the site just sways it!)

i hope that someone like john martyn headlines the sunday ....

i have a tape recording

of me singing nursery rhymes at my nana's house when i'm about two years old - it sounds JUST like this song.

birmingham

or manchester sounds good to me!

brilliant

would have been even better if iain banks was involved!

that will be the best night in arbroath

since they beat bon accord 36-0.

who are 'i was a cub scout'?

these any good then?

worth missing lost on a sunday night to see 'em????

for some unknown reason

there was a report about this on the 'showbiz gossip' section of our godawful local radio stations news programme thos afternoon. what the hell was it doing there!? most odd.

these any good then?

they are playing the club nme night in stoke, which will be full of muppets, but i might make and effort - i've heard alot of good things ....

this is nowhere near as good as old fog

can't wait too see him at atp though.

anyone else find that photograph of him extremely disturbing?

he looks like he's about to make a drunken pass at someone. *shudder*

you'd think that

led zep would be in there already, really.

a shame

i was never a massive fan but still. i've put the red thread on in tribute.

goody gumdrops

i love old fog. i initially bought it specifically because of that photograph - so moody and unclean! i'm definitely going to make time to see him at atp.

YES!

Robbie, our saviour, is now going to use his free time to take over at the vale and steamroller us into the premiership! I CAN FEEL IT!

we love you robbie!

i don't hate alot of people

i mean the kind of seething, frothing at the mouth, shouting at the telly 'FUCKING DIE IN A CAR CRASH YOU CUNTING FUCK' hate.

he's one of them though. which probably means that he is doing his job very well indeed.

what day does the 13th fall on?

if it's a weekend i'd be tempted to make a journey down ...

i reckon

that tom chaplin will be the voice of rupert the bear if they ever make a feature length film.

stoke?

wahey! i haven't had my ears crushed in the sugarmill for a while.
