so good
live :) been looking forward to this album, glad to hear it doesn't disappoint
this is the first time I've heard of this festival
Maybe if they advertised a little more their ticket sales would have improved
why
does everything on this website have to be an argument?
I can't remember what these guys sound like
I do, however, have to revise the classic german novel of the same name for my exams :(
ah :)
I knew I'd find some other haterz here. What makes me chuckle is the way they seem to just be naming their tracks after their favourite elements and compounds.
I was taught long ago by a close friend/dnb nut that pendulum does not come close to drum n bass; its sort of like the way that people say "i like indie bands, like scouting for girls and the fray"... Always the way with popular culture being the way it is, I guess
CSS
are not dance tent headline worthy, they are tosh, and live they are worse tosh.
think of the possibilities! think! gargh. I guess I can't complain too much though.
last year
we got tickets to an afterparty which was difficult to find (it was a secret location after all) but it was fun once we got there! by that time of year its not so bad walking back to the train station at 4.30 am and waiting a couple of hours for the first train :)
there's no joke
read it again..?
the party
was for their daughter's 18th...
the whip
Sorry, but I think you've got the wrong end of the stick with these guys. Also, why are they releasing this old old track :(
hooray
for them :))))
last time
i saw them at the concorde 2 i literally fell asleep. lol its so weird when that happens to me!!
oh
how does this happen? :(
poor boy!
thats so mean, and he runs to hide behind whoever set him up as well
poor thing.
one of these tricks was played on me not so long ago. it was good for my circulation!
on the contrary
i really like the track because it means i can be cute with my boyfriend but this video doesn't reflect the intimacy of toothpaste kisses (not the song, the kisses themselves) its more like the complete opposite-- make out with everyone for the sake of it.
hm
oh dear
this videos a bit creepy. maccabees used to have such a knack for videos!
plus
they are influential figures, sort of. a lot of kids, even if they don't admit it, will read about all this casual drug-taking and think either 'its clearly not such a big deal as they said it was in GCSE biology' or 'wow i think i'm missing out! what am i doing with myself!' and i guess those are some of the reasons people get into it in the first place...
but my take on drugs is a little different to the norm ie. i (mostly) don't get it.
inner ears
are mean things. mine make me dizzy sometimes and also i think they're responsible for hangovers...?
i blame every cold i get on my ears too...
i said
i listened to her voice, not her accent. that is annoying, especially 'it gives me frills'. agreed on that point.
but the tone of her voice, and the way she hits the notes....come on lets give her some credit.
i didn't read all these comments
but i would like to say one thing which often gets overlooked when people talk about kate nash.
she has a very good singing voice. I don't listen to her songs much, but sometimes they're just on, and when they are I find myself listening to her singing, not to what she's singing about, and I think that that part is impressive.
to this show ***
my bad
my dad
got hold of 2 tickets to a snow patrol show from someone at work, and he asked me to go with him. I love snow patrol even if in recent years their sound has changed and their popularity has exploded exponentially (in a good way). I have listened to Eyes Open maybe once maybe twice, but their other 3 albums are definite all-time favourites of mine.
So I Will Go :) I can't stand people slagging them off, and anyways I just admitted to going to a gig with my dad so I don't exactly have to worry about scoring scene points any more lol
looking forward to hearing this twilight sad band supporting..!
how can i
get my hands on a copy?
i love it
basically
backline
i'm going to be there. its going to take a lot of courage to go back to that place. but i think it will be worth it. for the violence.
paul marshall
is one of my favourites. maybe he isn't groundbreakingly different but there are reasons that people still listen to nick drake and one of those is because the music is fucking lush on every level-- the tonality, the style, the vocals.
i haven't heard this album, but i've been listening to PM for over a year maybe two now and i can't wait to get my talons into it (in a good way) because i don't see that he can do any wrong.
i was starting to get over GoodBooks
but reading about this album and seeing the tracklisting is making me all excited again :)
oh, the zodiac
:( carling academy oxford....many a good gig in this place, but i'm not in oxford anymore so i guess i'm not so bothered. plus maybe they'll finally change the frontage.
i've had this playing on my myspace for weeks
it must be good :)
fair play
i just don't like fields..
..
what are you talking about??
who cares
different people like different things. why so aggressive??
i don't get it
there were too many similies and metaphors in there, i don't understand what you're trying to say.
i can see the 8/10, and thats enough to convince me the bees have still got it. now, to iTunes..!
i think
there is a connection between the title and the lyrics. but there's a lot more to be said for the musical side of things for these guys as well. plus being this age is about shabby vulnerability, its great!
any time
i think i started with a point and lost it. apologies
i can't say
that i'm a huge fields fan. i wasn't wowed by them when i saw them on the DiS tour last year. was it a dis tour? i think so. anyways. yes. not wowed.
so i won't go to the effort of trying to understand what this is about.
really
i haven't listened to Eyes Open. I had it playing once when it first came out (my dads copy) and tried to listen to it the other day and just couldn't do it.
snow patrol are one of my favourites, for sure, but back in the starfighter pilot times. even final straw was a goodun.
but. bands change.
with paul marshall
supporting all over the place...! i think every date, but definitely farnborough.
upstart is a complimentary term. its not patronising, its approving.
to be fair
all their videos are awesome :) and DIY. ish.
isn't that
the point of Hadouken?
where's the fire?
whats wrong with wanting to help out in a difficult situation?
not Ever
i think some of them are interesting observations.
its not about relating to the lyrics
its just admiring them. forgive me for being a little biased, but i love the way that (admittedly, not in all the songs) he manages to articulate something you (well, I) can only feel at certain moments. it takes skill, songwriting like that. But I suppose that is what (good) art is about.
oh no!
i'll miss the february dates... but with CSS in april-- ace! x
oh come on
brakes are amazing. because there's nothing else quite like them. the voice is everything.
finally
answers!
cheers
i did!
forward thinking ;) yup.
ps any news on timings? I have to leave at twelve, will i miss bands?? or just DJs?
i hope not bands ... its a long bill though!
x
number one rule in everything
