we're all spoilt children
its truly sickening.
Which of these venues
has the best sound/is best to watch bands at:
- The Windmill
- Old Blue Last
- Madame Jo Jo's
?
Thanks
Rustie
I really like Jagz The Smack loads, but I'm having trouble getting into Cafe De Phresh. Great to see him/them getting some coverage on here though. Will be checking out Narrows now too.
He got a song of his in the Sex And The City film!
great stuff, so good at Supersonic
No kidding
when they stopped playing I wobbled around for a good few seconds, really lost my balance. And the guitarist looks like a cool 70s scarecrow. They've got a lot going for them.
Incorrect that I enjoyed them
or incorrect review? Or did enjoy them incorrectly?!
I really enjoyed them at Supersonic
they were absurdly loud.
We Got It For Cheap Vol. 3
was pretty good, pretty keen to hear the new Clipse stuff.
Beats the hell out the vast majority of Anticon & Def Jux guff. I want to hear raps about guns / money / women / drugs / guns / power / drugs / money / killing people / drugs / money
Wayne is doing a degree in psychology
online at the University of Arizona, apparently. I'd love to read one of his essays.
the beats are crisp
thats for sure, I just find them quite annoying as rappers. Oh well. New Clipse/Re-Up Gang stuff coming soon though apparently if the Pitchfork is tro be believed! Its gonna be boss
I don't get how they're slating acts
whose image takes precedence, but then they rap about being "cooler than that guy" on A Little Bit Cooler and bragging about getting their clothes from boutiques rather than from the mall. Contradictory, no?
Hove at Hove, no?
Would love to have gone to this. Cool Kids still blow though.
Its an engrossing listen
I also like how its relatively quiet compared to the Bloody Panda split record they put out. Are they still coming over here in autumn?
Can't wait to hear this
I listened to Pop on the way into work today, fabulous stuff. If this is up there with the The Coldest Season then its going to be incredible.
^ this
"take em' out the hood, keep em' lookin' good, but I don't fuckin' feed em'!"
Yeah yeah, I know
I'm just messing! Just being a grump for no real reason. I know the label's got an incredible back catalogue, I'm not being entirely serious.
I still fucking hate Maximo Park though!
Maximo Park?
Yeah cheers Warp
Despite being on Warp
this is great stuff. Ace live too! Looking forward to seeing him play live again soon.
it would r00l
big time. If I get to hear War Ensemble live I'll die a happy man
Damn right!
God, imagine if Slayer got added as well...I'd be a mess. A wonderful mess.
Will definitely go.
Will definitely get a severe bangover.
Will definitely have a brilliant time.
Maybe we'll get daily fiddy news updates
Today: I Get Money. See you tomorrow at 6, where I will have got more money! Keep it gangsta y'all at News Corp.
Weather brought to you by The Game.
Sweet
Hope it doesn't get cancelled
Its a photo finish
if I'm honest. Eleven To Your Seven was good, I'll concede that.
Its not you, its me.
I feel very embarrassed that I used to listen
to this sort of toss. It makes me cringe to the max now.
That thread is just an arsehole magnet
Do most people really agree with Noel Gallagher and Wrightylew (who I noticed chucking his two-penneth in on page 10)?
If so, :(
I know
its ridiculous. This is still one of the funniest things I've read in ages
What an incredible collection of idiocy.
Apparently, according to the pitchfork, he
still has to release another album for Def Jam before he begins the Live Nation deal. And that Live Nation expect at least 3 albums from him. Pretty sweet deal? "I'm rapin' Def Jam 'til I'm the hundred million man"? Well he wasn't far off.
Jigga and Converge
on a Norwegian island during summer? Sounds fantastic.
It was slow, and his writing wasn't particularly legible
4/10.
Not especially teasing, either.
Woah I was listening to the Wu
whilst watching that video clip. I feel inadvertantly approved!
Huggy Bear - February 14th
Obvs! Shouting "FEBRUARY FUCK OFF!!!" at the someone you love is fantastic.
This song is
absolutely briliant.
Its a shame about the vocals
because I really enjoyed her music that she played when I saw her in summer. But the singing..I just couldn't deal with it. Ah well.
Sensible choice!
Its furking rough around the arts centre. Should be good though.
Its in Hulme
so don't take anything too valuable with you!

In a beautiful dream Royal Trux swoop down from the skies and give them such a kicking that they're are literally beaten out of existance.
.
This band are so, so, so, so, so, so, so shit.
.
Neil FTW!
.
The indie Dannii Minogue, i.e. zero talent but maximum hotness
.
People be hating The Locust. They think they've brought about 'ironic grind'. I'm not one of those people.

Also, if you're writing a book, best to keep a back-up copy of it that isn't on your laptop.

Eye-witnesses to the blaze claim that due to the ferocity of the fire it only took One Hot Minute for the house to be destroyed

I had no idea that Greg and Satomi are married. Interesting article, tvm.
